LOOE

West and East Looe have been joined by a bridge since the
early 15th Century although the seven arch bridge today dates from 1854.
The town itself is full of narrow picturesque lanes and
a medieval Guildhall is now a museum. The Town's mainstay is tourism.
Although the fishing fleet is the second largest in Cornwall. Recreational
fishing is popular in the Summer with Looe hosting the Headquarters of
the Shark Angling Club of Great Britain.
If dining in town all tastes and budgets are catered for.
Looe is not just a summer but a year round resort that really buzzes at
Christmas and New Year with street and river decorations, and fancy dress
at New Year. (Book early for New Year).
Apart from the safe beaches on both West and East Looe,
lots of activities are available. Walking being one of the favourites.
The National Trust walk to Polperro is very popular as are the walks that
follow the banks of Looe River.
