Situated in 24 acres of meadowland leading to a private bank of the river Lynher, in a truly unspoilt part of Cornwall on the edge of Bodmin Moor.

The Manor House dates from the 16th Century and is steeped in history, boasting amongst other features its own Celtic Cross. The cottages are converted from 19th Century barns and retain many of the original features. They have a separate entrance and gardens to the Manor.

Meadows roll southwards from the house & cottages, past an ancient green lane, down to the winding, tree-lined river. Beyond the river steep woodland skirts the craggy tors which line the eastern side of the moor. The peace and tranquillity of this setting belie its convenience as a holiday base. Five minutes from the A30, yet out of sight and hearing of this. The main road bisecting Cornwall, travel both east and west is quick and simple, as is access to the North and South coasts.

Subject to availability and supplement, breakfast and/or diner in the manor can be arranged. Preordered groceries are available. Dogs are welcome by arrangement. Secure early luggage facilities are available, arrival time 16:00. Crisp cotton bed linen, hand and bath towels, electricity, hot water are inclusive. Central heating is subject to a seasonal supplement.

Trevadlock Manor

Is a substantial detached listed house, the earliest part dates from the 1530s and retains some fine stone mullion windows.

The West Wing of the L-shaped house is let out and sleeps six in comfort.

Upstairs the master bedroom has a sunny balcony overlooking the courtyard and a bathroom en-suite; the two further twin rooms are served by an airy family bathroom with powerful shower over the bath.

Downstairs the long drawing room is lit by four Georgian windows and features a magnificent granite fireplace and original artwork. The furniture includes a dining table and chairs and two comfortable sofas. The functional kitchen has an electric cooker, fridge and small freezer, microwave and dishwasher.

There is also a utility room downstairs with washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes airer and WC.

The West Wing backs onto a small lawn and a sheltered southfacing courtyard. B&B is available in the West Wing out of season.

Trevadlock Manor Cottages

The five cottages are converted from 19th Century stone barns.

Four of the cottages: The Dairy, The Forge, The Granary and Swallows' Barn have 2 bedrooms: 1 double & 1 twin.

Lambs' Barn has 3 bedrooms: 1 double & 2 twins. Each has bathroom with shower overhead & WC.

Each of the wisteria-clad cottages is in a mews layout and was stylishly refurbished in 2003 to a high standard.

Upstairs, the spacious, comfortable, open living/dining room has a wood-burning stove and large windows, some opening onto a French-style ornamental balcony.

Each has central heating and a new well-lit kitchen area with gas hob, fan oven, butler's sink, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and washing machine.

The cottages are set in a lawned area and four of them have their own wooden deck. Swallows' barn has a sunny wooden balcony instead.Other features include a large communal sand box for small visitors, and pygmy goats in the neighbouring paddock who are very sociable.

The nearest pubs are 1.5 miles & 2 miles. The nearest shop is 1.5 miles. Beaches are approximately 12 miles away.
