Tremont
House is a large family house with spacious rooms within walking
distance of the River Fowey and all amenities of the ancient town
centre of Lostwithiel. Situated only a few minutes walk from the
railway station, London to Penzance line and the National Express
Coach stop, makes this an ideal location to take a break away without
the car and one can explore the rest of Cornwall by public transport.
Enjoy the Old Town atmosphere and browse around the lanes of the
ancient Stannary Town of Lostwithiel with its antique shops, local
art and craft shops and tea rooms or sit by the medieval town bridge,
watching the tide rise across the stony river bed where the sailing
barges used to load tin for far away destinations.
Explore
the legends of the moors, ancient stone formations, history of tin
mines and the caverns of slate quarries, or the tranquil walks around
Restormel Castle, river creeks and woods.
A
15 -20 minutes drive will bring you to the craggy coastal paths
and secluded beaches and coves of the south Cornish Coast.
Visit the renowned Eden Project, which only 5 miles away.
