Tregoninny Farm and Woodland
En-suite Bed & Breakfast + Self-catering

Tregoninny is a beautiful, secluded spot on the wooded hillside above Tresillian, just outside Truro.

We have 192 acres of land, of which 85 acres are mixed woodland. It is our intention to recreate an ecologically balanced and peaceful environment across the whole farm and, over the next few years, guests will have increasing access to the mixed woodland, wildlife ponds and future projects as they develop. We hope that our visitors will come back again and again to monitor the progress of our journey.

Already home to an abundance of wildlife, we are changing much of the rye and clover pasture that has supported sheep and cattle for so many years, back to a mix of wildflowers and meadow grass to encourage many more insects and birds.

Bed and Breakfast

Bed and Breakfast Rooms from £50.00 per night

We have two fully accessible, en suite rooms at one end of the yard. These are the largest rooms, each with its own private front door and windows that overlook the courtyard fountain and main yard. Both have link beds, so you have the option of double or twin, and both have a large bathroom with a wet-floor shower and low-level bath. Safety flooring, shower chairs, body driers and grab rails make these bathrooms luxurious for all guests and there is a tracked hoist in each bathroom should you need it. We also have a mobile high lift electric hoist if required.

Across the yard, the ground floor of the barn has a double en-suite room (fully accessible); a twin room with a private bathroom and a small, fully accessible suite of a double (link) en-suite bedroom with a cosy lounge. Each of these rooms has a private front door but the addition of lockable interconnecting doors means that we can make almost any combination of these rooms available for groups.

The remaining accommodation is in the farmhouse, which has two ground floor bedrooms and a shared bathroom. One of these rooms can be a double or a twin while the other bedroom is a smaller, cosy room with a 5ft bed.

We have designed and furnished all our rooms with style and comfort in mind and we will do our best to provide anything you need to make your stay here as enjoyable as possible.

All rooms have a remote control TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Full farmhouse breakfasts, made with locally sourced produce are served in the dining room, and although we are currently unable to provide evening meals, we are happy for you to use this area to eat your own food. All accommodation is non-smoking and we only invite guide dogs or hearing dogs.

As a family we are committed to helping people with mobility difficulties enjoy a relaxing holiday in our peaceful and welcoming environment. In designing our accommodation we have taken care to make the sort of provision that enables this to happen. We are proud of the high standard we have achieved and aim to maintain it.

• Wheelchair accessible bed and breakfast accommodation all on ground floor.
• Minimum door width 85cm for internal and external doorways (many are greater than this).
• Parking next to or near to front door.

Tregoninny lends itself to group accommodation. Lounges and the general layout are perfect for small or larger groups while interconnecting doors still allow an element of privacy. The dining room is big enough for everyone to eat together and there is plenty of space in the conservatory for planning, discussing or simply relaxing.

Self-catering

Self-catering

Self-catering from £350 to £750 pw

We have one self-catering unit on the first floor of the barn - entirely private, with its own entrance at the back. Light and airy, it sleeps five people, in two double or twin bedrooms each with its own bathroom and one cosy little single room.

The living accommodation comprises a well equipped kitchen and a spacious and comfortable living room with open beams.

You reach us via three quarters of a mile of unmade track that winds up through the trees until it finally emerges into open farmland at the top, with views that are well worth the journey.
