Things to do

Cycling.....

If you enjoy taking in our beautiful countryside at your own pace and you are interested in cycling and exploring, Tregondale is the place to go. You can pedal through woods and valleys, by rivers and lakes over hills and moors.

There are various trails around the County such as:

Sibleyback Water Park
- a 15 mile circular route to a picturesque lake, passing through lovely countryside and villages, gentle inclines and a half-mile hill.
Camel Trail - follow the river on a disused railway line from Wadebridge to Padstow, or from Wadebridge to Wenford.
Looe Valley Trail - cycling through Cardinham Woods, or explore the mysteries of Bodmin Moor. These are just a few of the routes in the area - we've got full details of lots more. So if you've got bikes - make sure you bring them!

Walking.....

The best way to unwind is to take a good walk in beautiful countryside, whether it's a gorgeous summer's afternoon or a crisp autumn morning you will feel completely revitalised after taking in the beautiful surroundings, which are breathtaking.

Farm Trail - soak up the true character of Tregondale. See ancient woodland with oak, ash, beech, sycamore, blackthorn and holly. In springtime there's a carpet of bluebells. At the highest point allow yourself to enjoy a panoramic view of the Cornish landscape.
Ramblers' Walk - a route for the experienced walker. In spring, you can stroll between banks of primroses, pass the old Wheal Honey mine and watch wildfowl. Follow green lanes and rivers to a packhorse bridge - then back through coppices and hamlets to the farm.
Westbound Walk - wander beneath overhanging trees and ferns keeping a watchful eye for pheasant and moorland villages in the distance. From here you get a magnificent view of the farm in its wooded valley and can spy on heron in the marshland and return through a canopy of bushes via the granite cider press.
Eastbound Walk - for fresh country air and stunning scenery. In spring and summer the hedgerows are covered with Primroses, pink campions, ferns and tiny wild violets. Try a picnic on the banks of the River Tiddy, listen for the cackle of wild geese and walk back via Wheal Honey.

Fishing.....

We have our own small facility, but the top half of the county has the most rural lakes and rivers.
We can recommend the Bake fishing lakes at Trerulefoot.
You must obtain NRA licenses available from any Post Office to fish in Cornwall.

Tennis.....

Why not have a game of tennis on our hard tennis court.
