Situated on the Lizard Peninsula, nestling in the Cornish
countryside, Lower Tregiddle Holiday Cottages have all been lovingly renovated
to offer a haven of peace and rural tranquillity. Each traditional Cornish
property is spacious, comfortable and contemporary and has its own secluded
garden with spectacular far reaching views across the meadows to the sea.
Lower Tregiddle farm
is located down a quiet road, near the picturesque village of Gunwalloe,
situated on the most southerly peninsula in the UK, the Lizard. The cottages
are surrounded by rugged coastal paths, secluded little coves and rolling
hills. Close by, Church Cove is an
enchanting little beach, full of mystery. It's rumoured to have secret
paths leading up to the mainland, which the smugglers used.
Porthleven a charming
harbour village is buzzing with many fine eateries or if you are willing
to venture further a field the Beach Café in Sennen is a very smart restaurant,
with awe-inspiring sunset views of the sea. Alternatively, you can have
a home cooked meal delivered to your door with Primrose Cottage's catering
service.
THE COTTAGES
Lower
Tregiddle (Sleeps 7 + cot)
At the heart of Tregiddle is the handsome
farmhouse. The open-plan kitchen/dining room is the hub of the house with
the aga quietly humming away. All mod cons, huge garden for energetic
kids, games room, cosy lounge, wood-burning stove, roll top bath, digital
TV and free WiFi will welcome you on arrival. Three delightful double
rooms (two en-suites) and single room with views over to the sea.
Rowe's
Cottage
(Sleeps 3 + cot)
Picture this… you sat on the decking, Prosecco
in hand with the last embers of the bbq gently glowing all while watching
the sunset? Rowe's Cottage provides the perfect setting for just that!
Smartly decorated with brown leather sofas, fluffy towels, comfy cushions
and pitch-pine floors running throughout. Both bedrooms (one double and
one single) are prettily decorated and furnished.
Wallis'
Barn
(Sleeps 8 + cot)
Standing proudly in the courtyard is Wallis'
Barn. The Barn, along with its own private garden and games lawn offers
beautiful panoramic views over the rich Cornish countryside to the sea.
A wood burning stove, plump bedding and with plenty of pots and pans for
budding cooks after a day of exploring you'll feel like you're returning
home. Sleeping eight the cosy and comfortable bedrooms comprise; 2 double
rooms, one with en-suite, one twin (zip linkable 1m wide single beds)
with en-suite and one with full size bunk-beds.
Pennywort
(Sleeps 6 + cot)
Like the flower, Pennywort nestles happily
in the Cornish countryside. Once a milking parlour, the cottage with open
plan living is light and airy. Big comfy sofas, snug beds, thick insulating
granite walls and of course all mod cons make Pennywort a charming holiday
cottage perfect for families. Just across the courtyard the extensive
garden is great for kids with bundles of energy!
The
Old Stable
(Sleeps 2)
A delightful Cornish studio, the Old Stable
is a super retreat for two. White washed walls, original wooden timber,
comfy leather chairs, Cornish granite and plush bedding will welcome you
on arrival. The mezzanine kitchen is brimming with many culinary aids
so you can get inventive with the local ingredients. After relaxing in
the secluded garden you can take long soaks or reviving showers in the
stylish bathroom.
