Torwood is an old Victorian house built in the late 1800s which has been renovated to incorporate many of the original features. It is situated in a beautiful tree lined avenue only 500 metres from the sea front.

Your hosts Lynda, who is Cornish and Steve assure you of a warm welcome. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished with colour T.V's, DVD, Digi Boxes, tea/coffee making facilities and clock radio's. We offer discounts for long stay visitors and senior citizens.

Breakfast is served between 8.00 a.m and 10.00 a.m, but earlier breakfasts can be arranged if required. An evening meal is available at £18.00 per person, this is a four course menu and consists of a choice of main courses.

The dining room has a warm and relaxing atmosphere. For those unwanted dull days, an array of traditional board games and videos are available for use. Wireless Internet available in all rooms.

Penzance is ideally situated as a base for touring and itself boasts many fine old buildings, dating from the 17th to 19th century, particularly along Chapel Street. Its most magnificent building is the exotically fronted Egyptian House built in 1830, while a few doors away is the Penzance Maritime Museum which houses a collection of nautical memorabilia.

Opposite the harbour is the National Lighthouse Museum, tracing the history of local lighthouses which have guided ships away from the treacherous Cornish coastline for many centuries. The Penzance Museum and Art Gallery is set in beautiful gardens and features a selection of works by local artists along with a history of Cornwall Exhibitions.

Finally, three miles east of Penzance, off the oldest charted town of Marazion, lies the majestic St Michael's Mount, one of Cornwall's most magical sights as you come up to Penzance.
