Tomhara sleeps 12 comfortably with 5 bedrooms in the main house and a separate self contained double bedroom and WC above the garage which, in itself, is a beautiful little private retreat and enjoys a wonderful, secluded and sheltered location 75 metres from Rock beach. The property is very close to Rock Sailing Club, the clubhouse of St Endoc golf course, Rock sailing and water-skiing and the ferry crossing to Rock.
The house has been designed with both open living and relaxed comfort in mind. On the first floor there is a large double aspect living room with the warmth and cosiness of an open fireplace at one end and large picture windows at the other for relaxing and enjoying the spectacular view.
Tomhara sits in an extremely sheltered position with a terrace and garden to the front, and a further terraced garden to the rear. The garden is not overlooked and is surrounded by large, mature trees of various species. There is outside furniture and a barbecue area. Due to its sheltered position, the temperature in the garden is often noticeably warmer than the surrounding area.
The kitchen and dining area adjacent, provide a convivial atmosphere for cooking, eating and entertaining. They open onto a fabulous sun deck from where it feels like you can view the world. All the usual modern facilities are provided from heating to Wi-Fi and the kitchen is very well equipped for real cooking. There is a further bedroom/snug on this floor with study area and wc.
Downstairs there are 2 twin and 2 double bedrooms with 3 of them featuring large glass doors opening out onto a further terrace. There are also two large bathrooms each with a bath and shower and a further wet room and utility room.
Linen is provided at local laundry rates (beds are ready on arrival) as are bath towels but not beach towels.
The north coast of Cornwall and the area around Rock in particular, is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and provides a wealth of activities such as sailing, windsurfing, surfing, waterskiing, gold tennis and spectacular walking. The coastal scenery is some of the very best in the British Isles and there are many National Trust gardens within striking distance. The house is a short ferry ride from Padstow with its renoCornwall has a long and interesting history and is a renowned centre for artists. Rock is approximately 4 hours from London by car.
The region provides a wealth of sports and activities both on and off the water, for all ages and abilities, ranging from golf and cycling to wake boarding and windsurfing. No matter what your tastes, Rock has it all.
