Bedroom: New double bed with oak bedside tables and touch operated lamps. Small built-in wardrobe and window seat. En-suite fully tiled bathroom with new bath, shower attachment, sink, toilet, heated towel rail and bathroom cabinet with shaver point. There is no fixed shower due to building restrictions.

Outside area: The patio area outside the flat provides just enough room for a table and two chairs which are stored in the utility room.

Port Isaac and the Local Area

The flat lies in the bottom of the village which dates from the 15th Century with newer buildings having been added as you move 'up' the hill. Amenities include the Golden Lion pub (10 metres), bakers (20m), the Old Post Office Stores which sells newspapers (70m) and a range of shops, cafes and restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance. The beach is opposite the flat. There is a quality fishmonger with fresh, local catches next to the beach with an attached aquarium with touch pool and tanks showing the fish, eels and shellfish found in the area. A co-op at the top of the village sells a good range of essentials.

There is easy access north and south to the Southwest Coastal Footpath, with a good 6.5 mile walk around Port Isaac and up to Trebarwith Strand. A less strenuous walk about the same distance to the south takes you to Polzeath, Daymer Bay, Rock sailing club from where you can cross the Camel Estuary to Padstow. Other walks inland lead across the valley to St Endellion and its old church, or up to Trelights and the Longcross Hotel with a restored Victorian Garden, bar and restaurant and excellent cream teas.

No doubt you are aware that Port Isaac has been used for a number of television series and film sets. These include Poldark, Nightmare Man, Saving Grace, Doc Martin and The Shell Seekers.

Weekly throughout the summer months the international oldest boy band in UK 'Fisherman's Friends' perform on the Platt outside the Mote Restaurant. The same location hosts the St Breward Silver Band every Thursday night and the performance traditionally ends with the Helston Floral Dance being played up through the village and back down again, accompanied by the associated dancing.

Port Isaac is a quiet haven following a hectic day out whether surfing at Polzeath or a brisk cliff top walk. The restaurants serve excellent food and you will always find a warm welcome. Once you have stayed you will be back again ... "dreckly" as we say!
