The Cuddy was built around 1880 and has been extended to the rear. The external cob walls are very thick and inside there are exposed dark wood beams.

The lounge is just inside the front door and has a sofa, rocking chair and a dining table. It has an open fire as well as electric heaters. There is an audio system as well as a television with a DVD player.

The kitchen is completely new with a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, fridge-freezer, electric cooker, microwave and toaster.

Upstairs the main bedroom has a quality, five feet wide, bed and fitted furniture. The second bedroom has a single bed. The bathroom has a bath with electric shower, washbasin and w.c.

The nearest shop is 200m away. The harbour and rest of the shops are within 400m.

Porthleven is mainland Britain's most southerly port. It is a lovely village about three miles from Helston and twelve miles from Penzance. Its history goes back 400 years and its fine harbour is over 150 years old.

Around the harbour are a small supermarket, chemist, baker fishmonger and several attractive small shops. There are three pubs, all serving food, restaurants and cafes. The large, clean beach is just south of the harbour. The South West Coastal Path around The Lizard passes through Porthleven and is magnificent for walking.

There is parking on Thomas Terrace, which is subject to availability but you can usually park opposite the cottage or elsewhere on Thomas Terrace or nearby Thomas Street or Unity Road.
