The Willows is a comfortable and peaceful Self-catering annex situated in a small hamlet a few minutes away from magnificent coastline near Tintagel. The sandy beach of Trebarwith Strand only minutes away, is well known for swimming, surfing and pretty rock pools.
The lovely coastal path, cared for by the National Trust, abundant with flowers, passes nearby and leads to other sandy coves and breathtaking scenery.
Tintagel is only one mile away, where the famous castle associated with the legendary King Arthur, the ancient Post Office, the early Norman Church on the cliffs, and attractive shops, are to be enjoyed. The Willows is an ideal centre for visiting numerous places of interest, whether the lovely fishing villages of Boscastle, Port Isaac, Polzeath, or ancient monuments, mystical or historical, whilst walking on Bodmin Moor and visiting the Eden Project. The Willows is open all year, is centrally heated. Nice dogs are welcome free of charge in the Self-catering Apartment. LOCATION TREKNOW is a hamlet just before Tintagel Village Off the B3263 from Camelford. The coastal path is three minutes away. Commonly known as the sunset coast, it is steeped in the legends of King Arthur, and Cornwall's historic industrial past in slate mining. Old workings can be seen close by, and the Delabole Quarry is Europe's largest, man-made hole being approximately 1'/2 miles across. Also at Delabole the first wind farm in the country can be seen. Wild life is in abundance around the cliffs, and the wild flowers are something not to be missed early in the year. Late autumn brings Indian summers in many years, and the campion and primroses flower once again. There are many places to visit in Tintagel alone including the castle ruins, King Arthur's Hall, Merlin's Museum, the Old Post Office, and many small churches. All these are within walking distance of The Willows
TINTAGEL is an ideal base for touring the county, being central on the North Coast, but mid county, enabling visitors day trip distance to all major attractions via the new by-passes as far as Lands End. In addition to the places around Tintagel, moving south westerly, are the Padstow Bird and Butterfly Gardens, The Cornish Shire Horse Centre, Wadebridge, also the charm and tranquility of National Trust houses and gardens. There are many more attractions between North Cornwall and Lands End. Moving north easterly, it is a short distance to Bude and the Devon border where many more attractions can be located including Dartmoor. A south easterly trip takes you across Bodmin Moor to Looe, Polperro and south coast resorts and harbour towns. In Cornwall, one is never further than 20 miles from the sea.
