Self Catering Holiday Accommodation
Gerran's Bay - Portscatho
- Roseland Peninsula
12 Apartments and Suites,
most with sea views and private terraces
Set on the Cornish Roseland peninsula, and just a short
drive from St Mawes, The Rosevine overlooks Gerrans Bay towards Portscatho.
Porthcurnick, a safe, sandy National Trust beach is a short stroll from
the garden gate.
Home to Tim and Hazel Brocklebank and their two boys, they
have created twelve serviced guest suites/mini apartments in the main
part of a large Georgian house. Each has one/two bedrooms, and a sitting/dining
area with discreet mini kitchen facilities. Many of the suites have sea
views and large French doors which open out onto a private terrace or
balcony. You can self cater or take advantage of the house services available.
Great food is served in the Morning and Dining Room from
mid morning till supper time. You can eat breakfast, lunch and supper
if you wish, or dip in and out for the occasional meal and drinks. Children's
high tea is served, and parents can relax with a drink and hors d'oeurves
or Cornish tapas, and then come down later for a quiet supper. In the
summer months Tim and Hazel host a weekly family bbq and drinks in the
garden. They will often be joined by grandparents or family and friends
and it's a very relaxed affair. On chef's night off, there are good recommendations
to eat locally, or a simple supper can be ordered up. Non resident guests
are quite welcome to come along and eat.
Downstairs there is a cosy Drawing Room with Scan woodburning stove, and
a family den with squashy sofas, flatscreen tv, dvd , X box and toys and
games. The house has wireless internet access. There is an indoor swimming
pool with changing room and shower, and a guest laundry and boot room.
Outside is a large lawn to relax on and a lower field perfect for children
to run around, with trampoline, play house and play area.

Tariff 2008
From £155 to £335 nightly
£980 to £2240 weekly
The Rosevine is welcoming to families and coupes alike,
and it's a great place for a small group of friends to get together, or
to use as a base to explore the surrounding coastline and local villages.
You can sail and dive nearby, and Tim who enjoys both is more than happy
to arrange an accompanied trip.
Tim and Hazel have a small team of professional staff who
combine friendliness with great hosting. The emphasis here at this lovely
house is flexibility. For a short stay or week's holiday, you can choose
how much you look after yourself or be looked after. (Suites are serviced
daily with a light clean and linen is changed every other day. If you
prefer to be totally self contained and not to have the daily light clean,
this can be arranged.)
Tim and Hazel also have a holiday house at Trevone Bay
on the north coast. See Family Holiday House on the Padstow section of
Cornwall On Line.
