The Ridings is situated in the heart of the village. It has recently been completely refurbished to a very high standard, providing a comfortable and excellent family holiday home, with lots of space and good size rooms. There are a lot of windows, (all double glazed), making it a bright, but warm atmosphere.

The Accommodation

• Entrance into sunroom with whicker furniture, looking out onto the garden.
• Hallway, spacious, u-shaped, from which all rooms are accessed. At the far end, the hall widens and this is where you will find a table & chair & a pay phone. Also in this area is a cupboard, where you will find extra bedding and two fold-up beds.
• Kitchen, Large, kitchen/dining room with two double patio doors looking out to a private sun terrace. Kitchen is equipped with an electric oven & gas hob, larder fridge, dishwasher and food mixer. There is an additional fridge-freezer and microwave in the utility room next door. There is ample cupboard space and work surfaces as well as a breakfast bar. The dining area has a new large, extendable table, comfortably seating 10 people.
• Utility Room, Boiler, fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, drier, iron & board, hair drier, highchair and extra cupboard space.
• Sitting Room, accessed from both double doors from the kitchen and door from hall. Large patio doors overlooking garden, making this a bright and sunny room, furnished with a three-seater sofa and two-seat sofa, plus an armchair, coffee table and occasional tables.
  It has a TV, video and a C.D. hi-fi. Also to be installed this winter, we have a new woodburning stove.
• There is beautiful oak flooring throughout the property, except for the bathrooms which have been tiled and the bedrooms which are carpeted.
• Bedroom 1. King-size bed, large wardrobe with hanging space, shelves and draws. Dressing table & stool and an armchair, door to ensuite bathroom, with bath/shower, loo and basin.
• Bedroom 2. Two single beds and two chests of drawers.
• Bedroom 3. Two single beds, large built in wardrobe & cupboard space, dressing table & drawers, whicker chair and bedside table.
• Bedroom 4. Double bed, cot (with new mattress), double wardrobe, dressing table & drawers, whicker chair and bedside tables.
• Bathroom. Bath/shower and basin. W.C. Separate loo and basin.
• Garden, and Parking. At the front of the house is a large garden, with flower/shrub borders and edged with a high Cornish stone wall for a little privacy. The drive is large enough to comfortably park 3 cars.
  
  There is a garage, but this is used for storage, not cars, very useful for surfboards, wetsuits, sandy buckets etc. It also houses the outdoor furniture; table, chairs, parasol, and B.B.Q. At the rear of the house is a lovely Cornish stone paved sun-terrace, With mature raised flower beds.
  
  There is also a warm outdoor shower, for rinsing off sand, and a tap for rinsing wetsuits etc.

Trevone

For us, Trevone is the perfect holiday destination. It has the beauty of the Cornish Riviera, mixed with the wildness of the north coast. It has two coves, the first, in front of the carpark, is a beautiful sandy bay, great for swimming, sandcastles and sunbathing and round the corner is Rocky beach, which is perfect for rock pooling, musselling and shell collecting and also has a natural swimming pool in the rocks filled with sea water every day. There are fantastic walks along the dramatic coastline, see Trevone's famous 'Big Hole'. Sports lovers are kept happy, with a great variety of activities in the area; surfing (there are seven bays for seven days), golfing, sailing, horse riding, fishing, diving, etc.
