Bed & Breakfast Accommodation in Bodmin Ideally located for the coast, Camel Trail and Eden Project
The Piggeries have been tastefully converted from the old hospital farm pigsties, some quirky features still remain, the main corridor slopes up hill and is reminiscent of the door in Alice in Wonderland, mind your head! We have 3 letting rooms the main one being en-suite with walk in wardrobe and private French doors to the gardens. One other room has a private bathroom, and the other is a shared bathroom. The property sits in an acre of gardens including a wooded area and ponds. We enjoy peaceful surroundings and glorious views; it is possible to walk into Bodmin from the property (although a taxi ride home might be nice!) and also down the back lane to the Camel Trail. The old steam railway runs at the bottom of the valley and we sometimes get the smell of a bygone age drifting up from the train as it wends its way along the valley to Bodmin Station. The Eden Project is approximately 15 mins away at most and the world famous Rick Steins at Padstow is again a similar distance. The glorious surf beaches of North Cornwall are again within 20 mins drive and the South Coast gentler bays is again 20 mins away, we find it is nice in the summer to spend the day at the beach but great to get away from the hustle and bustle of the coastal resorts and chill out on our lawns with a glass of cool Chardonnay. We offer a traditional hearty breakfast around the farmhouse table as one, but move to the decking in the summer months if preferred...
