the Lizard Peninsula

The Manse is situated 100 yards from the square of beautiful, tranquil St. Keveme, at the heart of the eastern Lizard peninsula, close to the beach and harbour at Coverack, and other quiet and lovely beaches.

The South West Coast Path, diving and windsurfing, and many other sporting activities, are nearby, and the countryside and Helford estuary are at hand. Truro, St. Ives, Falmouth, and Penzance are less than 30 miles away, and there are many of Cornwall's finest gardens, houses and other attractions within easy reach.

ACCOMMODATION

  • Either a double or twin room
at £60 per night (£40 single occupancy)

Prices are reduced between October and May, for weeklong bookings, and for accompanied children. Well behaved dogs are welcome, as long as they get along with Henry, the resident standard poodle. (He is pretty accommodating!)

The room has tea and coffee making facilities, wash basin, and TV. There is a bathroom with bath, shower, and toilet, as well as a fine view over Falmouth Bay to St. Mawes and beyond.

We provide a full English breakfast, or you can choose from our latest a la carte breakfast menu, or suggest your own alternative, which we will provide if we can.

The Manse is also a showcase for the prints and original art of Sam Toft, the originator of the Mr. Mustard `odyssey', which now has a worldwide audience.

THE LIZARD PENINSULA

St. Keverne, is a lovely, friendly, typically Cornish village, hosting a small supermarket, a newsagent, a butcher, two catering inns, and a restaurant, as well as two churches (C of E, and Nonconformist). There is even a local Estate Agent for those who cannot bear to leave! Roskilly's well known dairy ice cream is made at the Roskilly farm which is within easy walking distance.

You can watch the ice cream being made, eat at their all-day restaurant, browse in their craft and book/souvenir shop, and explore their grounds, as well as choose from their wide range of dairy ices.

Flambards theme park/ experience is at Helston, only 10 miles away, Goonhilly Earth Station only 5 miles away, and The Lizard point, the most southerly point of the British Mainland is less than 10 miles from St. Keverne.
