Sea Views Tamarisk
House is a superb holiday home for the larger family or group of friends; a substantial
rambling house with plenty of room for everyone to find their own 'space'.
It perches on a steep hillside overlooking the village and beach of Mawgan Porth
with panoramic views across the valley and inland towards St. Mawgan.
Just five minutes walk down the road and you will reach
the beach of golden sands - perfect for family fun and serious surfing! Conveniently
located behind the beach are the family-friendly Merrymoor pub, shops for holiday
items and groceries, and a small selection of cafes and takeaways. Five minutes
up the hill from Tamarisk House is Bre Pen Farm - visit their farm shop for a
wide selection of local produce and gifts, or indulge in a traditional cornish
cream tea in their cosy tea room. ACCOMMODATION
First Floor: Bedroom 1 with 5' bed, wash
basin, en-suite W.C. and shower unit; Bedroom 2 with 4'6" bed, wash
basin, cot (and super sea views); Bedroom 3 with 3' bed and wash basin;
Bedroom 4 with twin 3' beds and wash basin; Bedroom 5 with
twin 3' beds and wash basin; Bathroom Shower room Hair
dryers are provided. There are shaver sockets in the first floor bathroom, shower
room and most bedrooms. All beds have duvets and two pillows per person. Bed-linen
is provided but please bring your own cot bedding. There is space for additional
babies in travel cots - please ask. Towels are available for hire (but please
bring your own beach towels). Ground
Floor: Lounge (with beamed ceiling, open fire, TV, DVD, video,
radio and CD player); Entrance Hall; with Internet connection available
for visitors who bring their own laptop or PDA Playroom with TV and
video; Kitchen - well-equipped 'home from home' with washing machine,
tumble drier, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave as well as the usual essentials
and of course a kettle, toaster and cafetières! One high-chair is provided;
Dining Room (with doors to patio area). The
playroom is home to a chest containing a substantial duplo collection, and there
are other toys available for small children, as well as a collection of videos
and books (for all ages) and a small selection of games. Stairgates are already
fitted upstairs and two further stairgates can be positioned as needed. A first
basket of logs for the fire will be provided and further fuel can be purchased
locally. Basement: Recreation
room containing table football and computer with selection of games. (Please
note that this computer does NOT connect to
the Internet). Recreation room containing table tennis; Shower
room (with hanging space for dripping wetsuits); W.C.
Outside: Terraced garden over several levels with
stone and wooden steps. Patio and decking areas with with picnic benches, brick-built
barbeque and additional seating. Steps to main road. (Very) steep driveway to
road with small parking/turning space for 2 cars. BOOKING DETAILS:
* Bookings run from Friday to Friday, except for Christmas
and New Year, in which case the days/dates will be dependent on school holidays.
* Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of the (non-refundable) deposit of one third
of the holiday price * Payment of the outstanding balance is required 8 weeks
before the holiday start date. * Open all year * Short breaks available
- please ask * Tenants are welcome after 4:00pm on the day of arrival and
are kindly asked to depart by 10:00am on their final morning. * Central heating
is included in the price. * Non-smokers preferred * Regretfully no
dogs permitted (Please Note that although Bre Pen
farm, the Merrymoor pub, the village stores and Betty's newsagents operate all
year, most of the other local shops and food outlets open only during the main
holiday season).
