LOCATION Swallows cottage is situated approximately 3 miles from Boscastle and 3 miles from Tintagel on the North Coast of Cornwall. Swallows Cottage will be found just off the Atlantic Highway about a mile down a country lane, where you can enjoy peace and quiet at the end of a busy day touring the area. There are so many things to do and see in Cornwall and in the Cottage you will find details on many attractions and some places to eat. We live close by in the Farmhouse and are on hand for managing the cottage to our high standard.

Swallows Cottage: self-catering for couples & small families -

“The Swallows” is a converted single storey barn, with beamed ceilings throughout, dating back to 1800 and has its own enclosed garden, situated within 10 acres of land in a peaceful rural setting amongst rolling countryside where you can enjoy a tranquil holiday or short break .

The cottage sleeps maximum of 5 people. We offer special rates for couples either side of peak times.

For Couples & Small Families

BEDROOMS – with beamed ceilings The double room accommodates a King size bed and there are two single bedrooms one with a visitor bed which pulls out from underneath the main bed, this is ideal for a small child. The beds all have mattress & pillow protectors, duvets and pillows, and all bed linen and bath towels are provided.

LOUNGE – with beamed ceilings This is a very comfortably furnished room with a 3 seater and 2 seater sofa and an armchair. There is an electric fire for those chilly evenings although there is full central heating available, a colour television with digital freeview box and a radio /CD/cassette player, video player and a variety of magazines/books etc. Glass Cabinet.

DINING AREA – with beamed ceilings. With table and chairs and high chair if required. Storage Unit. French Doors which open out onto a small paved terrace with garden furniture. (This looks across farmland towards Roughtor).

KITCHEN –with beamed ceilings . Fully equipped which includes electric cooker with fan assisted oven, refrigerator with a small freezer compartment , washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and cafeteria, plus ample crockery and utensils.

Tea towels are provided We also provide ironing facilities. There is a clothes dryer in the garden. For wet days should you wish to use a tumble dryer there is one available at the main house. Please do ask.

OUTSIDE There is ample parking area for your cars and the “Swallows” has its own enclosed garden to the rear, equipped with garden furniture in the summer should you wish to enjoy a meal in the garden. If you are bird watchers you may even see the Buzzards flying around.

At Trekeek Farm we have a growing herd of Alpacas who are the most adorable animals. They are intelligent, discerning,curious and sociable Alpacas produce the most exquisite fleece.

The Swallows cottage has a modern oil fired central heating system which means it is available all year round and extremely cozy and warm for those long weekend breaks out of season and of course at Christmas and the New Year.

The electricity and heating is all inclusive in the price. Although the cottage is fully equipped for up to 5 and is mostly used by families at the peak times of July/August we do especially welcome couples to enjoy a holiday or short break . This would be at a special reduced rate or at a daily rate either side of these two months. As dog lovers we invite well mannered pets (by arrangement).

Can we ask you please to bring along your pets bed and towels! Pets must be kept strictly under control, as there are sheep and cattle grazing in the fields nearby.

You will be assured of a very warm welcome to Trekeek when we show our visitors into Swallows Cottage and make sure that the kettle is on to make you a cup of tea.
