Polzeath - Daymer Bay - Camel Estuary

Summertide is a 4 bedroom bungalow (sleeps 8) in a magnificent position overlooking the Atlantic, only 200 metres from the sea. It was built by us in 1960 as a family home for holidays and has been much loved by our own and many other families over the past 48 years.

As well as its superb position, its great advantage is the seclusion of the site - the house is approached by a private drive off an (unmade) private road, and stands in one acre of grassland sheltered by shrubs and trees on all boundaries. Children can roam freely within the enclosed gardens, play cricket and football and amuse themselves with only minimal supervision required.

The house faces westwards - to the sunset - and overlooks the sea with spectacular views over Hayle Bay between Pentire Headland and Stepper Point, with the Camel estuary to the South leading to Rock/Padstow and on up to Wadebridge. From the cliff top below the house there are steps down to secluded Greenaway beach with its sand and rock pools - Polzeath beach is a ten minute walk north along the Greenaway cliff top walk (see photo below), Daymer Bay five minutes to the south.

Kitchen with fitted Kandya units and drop-down table, stainless steel sink with waste grinder, electric cooker (3 ceramic hotplates and one halogen rapid hotplate, fan oven and grill) fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery and all kitchen utensils provided. Spacious larder off kitchen - walk in room with iron and ironing board.
Dining Area with large table with fitted bench seats to two sides and other chairs (sits 8 comfortably).
Sitting Room on sunken level surrounded by oak balustrades, fitted carpet, armchairs, sofa, window seat, glass fronted coal fire (smokeless fuel), TV, DVD, VCR and CD/cassette/radio.
Conservatory leading from living area with sofa and lounging chairs overlooking lawn and sea - sliding patio door opening onto spacious bi-level slate terrace with outdoor table and chairs supplied.
Main Bathroom - with bath, WC and basin
Double Bedroom with double bed (5' wide), built in dressing table and two built-in wardrobes, built-in washbasin in cupboard.
Single Bedroom with single bed, dressing table and built in cupboard for clothes storage

End Wing with separate outside entrance containing:
Double / Twin Bedroom, twin single beds - which an be zipped together to form king-sized (6' wide) double bed, shelving unit with wardrobe and drawers, table and bench seating in window.
Adjoining Bathroom with power shower in cubicle, basin and WC. Hotpoint Automatic washing machine and Servis condensing tumble drier.

Prices range from
£395 - £1,600 per week

• Changeover day is Thursday. However, in the off peak season we may be able to accommodate long weekends, short breaks and alternative start and end days - please contact us with your requirements.
• The rate shown is inclusive of all electricity and night storage heating. You'll need to take your own towels (bath, tea and hand), pillowcases, duvet covers and/or sheets (although there is a local linen service we can refer you to.)
