George's Country Hotel, is a delightful country hotel situated in its
own grounds, within easy reach of Perranporth and enjoys outstanding views
of the surrounding countryside, making it an ideal base for touring and
sightseeing in Cornwall.
It is run by the resident owners Sue & Sharon who hope you will have an experience to which you want to return.
The hotel offers a relaxed family atmosphere, is centrally heated, with double glazing throughout and has a licensed bar, renowned for its Paninis and Pancakes. The comfortably furnished en-suite bedrooms all have TV, clock radio, hair dryer and tea / coffee making facilities.

Breakfast and Cream Teas are served in our Sunny conservatory Restaurant and weather permitting on our outside decking area, commanding beautiful countryside views.
In former times, the hotel had strong mining links and was home to the mine captain at the nearby Perran St George Mine. It was also the headquarters for the Nobel Explosive Company (Nobel was the instigator of the Nobel Peace Prize) and was one of the first in Cornwall to have electric lights.
Spring in Cornwall is a kaleidoscope of colour, on the coastal paths, over the moors and in the many national trust houses and gardens in the area. The autumnal colours of the coastal path and moorland are complimented by glorious sunsets, making it an ideal destination for your holiday or a short break.
The hotel is an ideal base from which to explore Cornwall, as the northern border with Devon and Lands End are only an hours drive away, with Truro, Falmouth and the south coast even closer. The world famous Eden Project is only a 40 minute drive away.
The area has something for everyone, with activities such as gliding, parachuting, climbing, surfing, walking, horse riding and golf to name but a few and nearby, the three miles of beautiful golden sands are ideal for families.
Cornwall's renowned mild climate makes it an ideal holiday destination at all times of the year. Add all this to the warm hospitality and good food at St. George's and you will have a holiday to remember.

Our self-contained Mine Captains Cottage is available from £400 per week including linen, towels and electricity. On the ground floor the cottage has a double bedroom a shower room and WC. Also a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and a small lounge with television. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer.
On the first floor there is a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed which is en-suite. The cottage is attached to the hotel, the entrance is within the hotel which means that you have the use of the hotels facilities during your stay. A full English breakfast is available in the hotel breakfast room if required at the hotel Breakfast tariff. The cottage is ideal alternative to our family room.

The cottage is within easy reach of many surfing beaches, the Eden Project, the North Cornish footpath, cycle trails and the myriads of Cornish gardens open to the public.
