St
Giles is a charming, traditional cottage set in a lovely private
garden with wooded area. Built in 1790 it was the coaching house
to Gonvena House.
St Giles has been lovingly refurbished with
all bedrooms having either en suite or private bathroom, TV and
Tea/Coffee making facilities. There is also now a comfortable, cosy
lounge for you to relax in and a light, airy conservatory for you
to have breakfast.
A short walk down Gonvena Hill will take you
into town were you will find plenty of interesting shops, good pubs
and restaurants serving excellent local food.
The Camel cycle/foot path is also near with
beautiful views along the coast to Padstow or a lovely ride by the
side of a pretty river to Bodmin. I the unlikely event of a rainy
day we have the added benefit of a nearby sports centre with large
pool and a cinema in town.
Padstow with Rick Steins Seafood restaurant
is only 10 mins by car. The extraordinary Biodomes of the Eden Project
and the Heligan Gardens are only 20 mins away. 5 mins down the coast
you will find wonderful long stretches of sandy beach at Rock with
sailing, windsurfing and waterski-ing available plus some good restaurants
and café. A little further around the coast we have some great surfing
beaches including Polzeath.
If you love Golf there are plenty of courses
to choose from. My favourites are Roserrow Golf and Leisure club
away were you can also enjoy there tennis and pool facilities and
St Enodoc, a challenging links course over looking the Camel estuary
both courses only 10 mins away.
Wadebridge is the perfect base for exploring
the rest of Cornwall as it is situated at the top of the north coast
close to the main A30 into Cornwall. It is also only 20 mins to
Bodmin Parkway train station and Newquay Airport.

St Giles Cottage is very easy to find. Having left the A30
following signs to Bodmin carry on to Wadebridge, don't turn off
this road until you reach a roundabout then take the left exit into
Wadebridge. Pass the school on your right and take the next right
into Gonvena and St Giles. Take the first right again and immediate
right through the green gate of St Giles Cottage. We have plenty
of parking.
