Five generations of the Bate family have farmed at Splatt Farm and today offer quality self-catering holiday accommodation in North Cornwall.

Shepherds Rest is a spacious luxury 5 star converted barn sleeping up to 12 people or enjoy our cosy 4 star converted milking barn sleeping 4. Ideal for families with Children's play area.

The two cottages are formed from traditional Cornish stone and retain many of the original features – a superb combination of stone, slate, exposed beams and timber trusses.

Shepherd's Rest

Shepherd's Rest provides the perfect location from which to enjoy and explore the sights and sounds that Cornwall has to offer.

This magnificent old barn was formally part of the old mill house, pig pen and stables and has been lovingly converted to the highest standards.

Shepherd's Rest exudes a feeling of warmth and comfort with exposed oak beams and natural colours ensuring you start to feel relaxed the moment you arrive……

• Open plan first floor lounge/dining room with Multi Fuel Woodburner, Television, DVD , and CD.
• Fully fitted farmhouse kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher.
• Utility/Wet room with Tumble Drier and Washing Machine.
• On the ground floor you will find a family bathroom with Spa bath.
• Two double rooms with 5ft beds and ensuite.
• Twin room and Double room with two 3ft bunk beds.
• Sun Lounge with Futon Bed leading to a spacious patio area complete with garden furniture and barbecue. Long relaxing days quickly turn into long, relaxing evenings.

Buttermilk Cottage

Buttermilk Cottage is set within a country setting on the edge of a 140 acre working farm. It is situated opposite Shepherds Rest and both barns can be hired together for larger family parties.

This cosy accommodation is arranged all on one level with a calm and peaceful atmosphere.

• Open plan kitchen/diner/ lounge with Multi Fuel Woodburner, Television, DVD and CD.
• Kitchen has Fridge with Ice Box, Dishwasher and Washing Machine and leads to your own Patio complete with garden furniture and Barbecue.
• Two bedrooms provide a Double Bed and Bunk Beds.
• Bathroom has a Bath with Shower area included in the bath.
• Electricity, Linen and Towels provided.
• Central Heating October - April.
