Self catering Holiday Cottage in Wadebridge
Raydene
Cottage sleeps 2/4 people
Short breaks available
between Oct & May
The cottage is a newly renovated and refurbished
cosy three hundred year old cottage in the quiet village of Egloshayle
on the outskirts of Wadebridge, a perfect location for exploring either
side of the Camel Estuary, being
15 minutes from Padstow and 10
minutes from Rock.
Accommodation
- Living room with exposed
beams, mock wood-burner, comfy leather sofa, TV/DVD and CD player.
- Kitchen/diner - brand new
kitchen fitted with a gas hob and electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave,
dishwasher, washing machine, dining table and 4 chairs.
Stairs lead to the first floor:
- Good sized double bedroom
with a beautiful brass/wrought iron bed and plenty of storage space,
second TV, alarm clock/radio & hairdryer.
- Small room with two single
beds (probably more suited to two children, or one adult).
- Bathroom/WC newly fitted
with hand basin, bath with shower over.
- Outside there is a small
paved area with table and chairs, and a useful shed with a tumble dryer
and storage for surfboards, buckets and spades. Off street parking space
for one car immediately adjacent to the property.
- The property has gas central heating throughout.
- Travel cot, high chair, stair gate and bed rail available upon request.
Location
If you don't fancy cooking very much, the cottage is literally
a stone's throw from The Earl of St
Vincent, which is a featured pub in the Good Pub Guide, renowned
for good food and its enormous collection of clocks. There are tennis
courts, a bowling green, a park and children's playground within a short
walk, and the cottage is also within a level walk of the historic market
town of Wadebridge which has
some lovely shops and restaurants, and is also home to the Betjeman Centre,
a small cinema and library.
Wadebridge is also mid way along the
Camel Trail, 20 miles of level off-road cycling between
Padstow and Bodmin Moor.
The cottage is a short drive from the sailing centre of
Rock and the surfing beach of Polzeath on the one side of the estuary
and equidistant on the other side of the estuary is Padstow and the beaches
of Harlyn, Trevone, and Constantine. The Eden Project is just 30 minutes
away, and Cornwall is home to numerous National Trust properties and gardens
which are all within an hour's drive, and in most cases much less.
- The tariff includes bed linen, towels and utilities.
- Changeover day is a Friday in the high season, but this is flexible
at other times of the year.
- We offer discounts for under-occupancy and bookings of two weeks or
more.
- Short breaks are also available between October and May, excluding
school holidays.
- Sorry but the cottage is not suitable for dogs or animals of any kind.
- Raydene is a no smoking property.
