PORTHLEVEN
CORNWALL
Porthleven is unspoilt and is the most
Southerly Port in the United Kingdom nestling in the sweep of Mounts
Bay. Its commercial role as a Port has long since passed but the
village remains the early nineteenth century fishing village in
which the harbour is full of fishing boats and small pleasure craft.
The village is now a great place for
holidays with or without families. It does not feature amusement
arcades and cheap shops but offers authentic fishermen's pubs, bars
and great restaurants to suit all tastes and price levels. Galleries
and craft studios fit in alongside the homes of the villagers and
its hospitality is legendary.
You can spend the long summer days strolling
along the beaches or pottering around the harbour while in the winter
months the seas are spectacularly dramatic, the cliffs windswept
and our cottages are perfect for storm watching.
