En-suite Bed & Breakfast
St. Ives - Porthminster Beach
A Haven of Tranquility
Porthglaze
- which takes its name from a rugged cove near Zennor - offers exceptional
accommodation in an elegant and homely atmosphere.
Situated in a quiet country lane away from
traffic, with easy access and ample parking. Porthglaze is a haven for
nonsmokers.
The wide, golden sands of Porthminster Beach,
which has a Blue Flag award for its clean, safe bathing waters is just
a short walk, while the town of St Ives lies a little beyond. Cobbled
streets and secret alleyways radiate from what is still a working harbour
and to explore these is to discover why so many artists, sculptors and
writers have chosen to make the area their home.
ACCOMMODATION
Porthglaze is fully carpeted and furnished to an unusually
high standard, centrally heated and double glazed throughout. There are
two, exclusive, suites each with a queen-sized double bed and each classically
furnished with either Sanderson or Liberty fabrics. Both have en-suite
bathrooms / showers with luxurious towels and bathrobes, hairdryers and
a selection of fine toiletries.
We serve a delicious continental breakfast between 8.00
and 9.30am in our bright and sunny breakfast room. Where possible, we
use fresh local produce, homemade jams and preserves. A typical breakfast
menu would include fruit juice, croissants, toast, cereal, seasonal fruits,
yoghurts, to follow smoked salmon with scrambled egg or home cured ham
with eggs of your choice.
The Roseberry Suite is
situated to the rear of the property and has French doors which lead to
the patio and garden, which guests are welcome to use. There are large,
walk-in wardrobes, a colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities.
The Cornflower Suite
is situated at the front of the property. The fabulous antique bed is
made up with fine cotton and there is a colour TV, tea and coffee making
facilities.

End to the gently wooded creeks of the Helford
River. And then over to the latest attraction in Falmouth
