extensive refurbishment and a restoration of excellent standards of service.
There is ample space with three comfortable
lounges, snooker room, 39 newly refurbished bedrooms, dining room and
the separate "High Point"
terrace restaurant which remains open all day. The public rooms
and most bedrooms enjoy wonderful views
from Polurrian's spectacular location.
Good food
is a very important part of our service. Menus make extensive use
of local seasonal produce, including a good choice of vegetarian dishes
and this is backed up with a comprehensive wine list.
Leisure
facilities include indoor and
outdoor pools, beauty-treatment room, well-equipped gymnasium,
squash court, children's games room, climbing frames and crèche.
The crèche is open during school holidays.
In the gardens the
sun terraces and tennis court overlook Polurrian beach and small
walled gardens offer sheltered privacy.
Within 2 miles of the hotel are the Mullion
links golf course, Mullion harbour, Kynance Cove and the Trenance Chocolate
Factory.
Within 5 miles are Flambards theme park, Gweek
seal sanctuary, Lizard Point (the most southerly point of mainland Britain),
Goonhilly Downs (the world's largest satellite earth station), camel trekking,
the diving school, wonderful fishing villages like Cadgwith Cove and miles
of dramatic coastal footpath walks.
In addition to the hotel we have eight 2 and
3 bedroom self-catered bungalows.
