Location Within less than an hour's drive there are many places of interest to visit including picturesque Clovelly, the pretty fishing village of Boscastle, the Launceston Steam Railway and the Legendary King Arthur's castle at Tintagel. There are also several National Trust and English Heritage properties, gardens, nature trails, the Tamar Otter Park and the famous Coastal Footpath. For cyclists there are plenty of quiet country lanes and the breathtaking Camel and Tarka Trails. The unspoilt sandy beaches of the North Cornish Coast, reputedly amongst the best in the country, offer good surfing and other watersports, and the main beaches are patrolled by lifeguards throughout the holiday season. Dogs are allowed year round on South Beach (Widemouth Bay), Summerleaze Beach (Bude), Duckpool, Sandy Mouth and Northcott Mouth. On the North beach (Widemouth), Crooklets (Bude) and Crackington Haven dogs are not allowed from Easter to 1st October. | |||
