| THE LOCAL AREA |

The beaches of the Roseland Peninsula are just a few
miles to the south and the delightful harbour side town of St Mawes
is only a short drive from the cottage.
The north coast with lovely sandy beaches is 30-40
minutes away by car.
There are many superb Cornish gardens within easy
reach and the world famous Eden Project is only 20 minutes.
Falmouth, with its harbour and new Maritime Museum,
is only about 30 minutes away.
There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the area,
but you do need a car.
Details of hire cars can be supplied for those wishing
to come by train or plane.

Penhale Cottage, Merther, is a converted barn
in the grounds of a 19th century mill, situated within hundreds of acres
of Cornish farmland. Beyond Penhale there is a farm and two cottages,
then the road ends, so there is no through traffic.
The Cottage, on one level throughout, has been designed
for easy wheelchair access. There are 2 twin bedrooms, one with a bath
and shower, the other with a walk-in shower room.
The rural location makes an ideal holiday home for those
who value the peace and tranquility of country life surrounded by sheep
pasture, traditional hedgerows, wildflowers, trees and birds. Yet, Penhale
is only a short drive to the city of Truro with its shops, restaurants,
museums and art galleries.
Because of its location, Penhale provides easy access to
Cornwall’s famous beaches, gardens, walks, towns and villages.
SELF CATERING ACCOMMODATION
The comfortably furnished sitting room, which adjoins the
kitchen, overlooks a large sunny terrace and is equipped with digital
television providing access to more than 20 television channels, DVD and
VHS.
The large kitchen/dining room is fully equipped with a
fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board, electric
oven, hob, microwave and coffee maker.
There are two twin bedrooms, one with a bath and shower,
the other with a walk-in shower room. Both bedrooms have specially made
wardrobes with shelves and hanging spaces.
There are French doors out to the patio which has a private
garden below it. There are sun loungers, a table and chairs for patio
dining as well as a charcoal burning barbecue.
