Cornwall
"Simply the best location in the World"
Set in an idyllic corner of the county, with many
of Cornwall's prettiest coves and sandy beaches nearby, The Old Vicarage
is an ideal place to stay to unwind and visit some of Cornwall’s greatest
assets.
As an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Heritage
coastline, with great historical interest, there is much to see and enjoy
around The Old Vicarage. This is an ideal area for surfing, coastal walking,
golfing at one of the local courses, visiting one of the 100 major archaeological
sites on the Lands End peninsula, bird watching, rambling, just generally
exploring and of course horse riding.
Not
to forget visits to local art galleries such as the New Tate Gallery in
St Ives or a visit to a live performance at the world famous Minack Theatre
- perched on the edge of a cliff face with dramatic views across Mounts
Bay towards the Lizard Peninsula.
Other local amenities include coastal flights and
day trips to the Isles of Scilly or even underground tours of the local
Geevor Tin heritage and mine centre. The towns of St. Ives, Penzance and
Falmouth give ample opportunity for shopping or exploring their historic
streets brimming with shops, cafés, restaurants and galleries.
There are many places of interest to enjoy from St.
Michael's Mount, the Tate Gallery, the tin mining heritage around St.
Just and Pendeen, Heligan Gardens, Trebah Gardens, the new National Maritime
Museum at Falmouth and of course the ‘8th’ wonder of the world
the Eden Project.
Plus much more to explore!
