Welcome to the Old Vicarage The Old Vicarage Farm operates as a stud farm for Morgan Horses; an American breed and the only breed in existance that can be traced back to a single Stallion, bred in 1793 in the state of Vermont. We have 35 acres of grazing and a 10 stall horse barn, we also keep a few head of Aberdeen Angus beef cattle and chickens to provide your breafast eggs. We have nice local walks both on and off the property and the horses are always pleased to see visitors. We have our own Morgan Stallion, Guy, some yearlings and two year olds. We have four foals due this year, the first is due to our mare Ruby at the end of April and the others at roughly four week intervals after that. There is usually something going on around the training arena with youngsters and adult horses undergoing daily training. They get a weekly lesson in Jumping and Dressage and once a fortnight we have a visiting instructor to coach our horse and riders in Western riding skills. |
