Nanjeath Farm is a 17th Century traditional
'Listed' Farmstead situated in the heart of Cornwall in a secluded,
peaceful and quiet location, yet within easy reach of all that Cornwall
has to offer.
Our barns have been sympathetically converted by local
craftsmen who specialise in listed buildings.
This is a beautiful retreat for those seeking a peaceful
and tranquil holiday with the very best in quality and comfort.
They are now detached and spacious holiday cottages,
tastefully furnished and offering the utmost comfort.
THE BARNS
All the cottages have retained their original features
with open beams, slate and wooden floors with rugs and comfy sofas.
Each cottage is quite individual with its own unique
character. Old pine dressers and butler sinks add to the charm and
each is centrally heated and has an electric woodburner.
Every care has been taken to make you feel at home.
Your cottage welcomes you with a Cornish Cream Tea, laid out for
your arrival.
The Cider Barn
This old milking parlour has an annex where the cider
barrels were once kept. Farm workers and locals would meet here
to tell their stories and drink the cider, made from the orchard
apples.
It has a superking size (or optional twin) bedroom,
bathroom with bath and separate shower, fitted kitchen and a lounge
/ diner.
An open staircase leads from the lounge to a galleried
loft room over the kitchen and bathroom with a single bed.
The Piggery
This was until recently just that! It is now a spacious
single storey barn with super-king or optional twin bed (or optional
twin) bedroom, bathroom with bath and separate shower and an open
plan kitchen/diner/lounge.
It has a lovely view across the meadow.
The Oxen House
Facing South, this is the largest barn, sleeping 4 - 6. It is a
very spacious two storey cottage which backs onto the old apple
orchard. The ground floor has a shower room, a spacious kitchen/diner
and a large lounge.
The upstairs has one bedroom with a king size bed
and a second with a superking or optional twin bed
The Stable
This popular barn has the bedroom downstairs where
once the shire horses were stabled. This has a king size bed and
en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower.
Upstairs has an open plan lounge kitchen/dining area
with views across the orchard and farmyard. This leads out to a
private balcony with table and chairs overlooking the orchard.
The Granary This old
grain store is attached to The Stable and the layout is the same,
but with the option of a superking size or optional twin beds.
The upstairs views are of the farmyard and surroundings.
A private balcony with table and chairs overlooks a lawned garden
area.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Gardening enthusiasts will find the breathtaking Eden
Project and famous Heligan Gardens, both within a 7 mile
drive, along with the numerous other gardens all within very easy
reach.
Also within a short distance is the historic harbour
of Charlestown. You can often see the fascinating old square
sail ships here, and the harbour is frequently used for filming
period dramas.
The Cathedral City of Truro is 12 miles away,
perfect for a days shopping, while both the North Coast with its
miles of sandy beaches and rugged coastline and the gentler South
Coast, with its many harbours, are within easy reach.
Land's End to the West and Dartmoor
to the East can be reached within 90 minutes. We are within 2 miles
of the nearest shop and pub and only a 5 minute walk from the nearest
bus route.
