Mowhay Cottage is situated in the tiny hamlet of Polcoverack which consists of a handful of former and current farm buildings on the outskirts of the beautiful seaside village of Coverack.

Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with plenty of historic interest, Mowhay is surrounded by fields and downland you drive through The Lizard Nature Reserve to get to Mowhay.

Yet Mowhay is only a few minutes walk from the classic Cornish fishing village of Coverack, with its beach, harbour, pub, and restaurants. Mowhay has its own garden that extends into an area of shared woodland.

Ground Floor Lounge - a spacious living area with two sofas, a TV with freeview and a DVD player. A storage heater.

Kitchen - t the property benefits from a newly fitted kitchen with granite worktops, dishwasher and electric cooker. It is equipped with all the utensils you would expect to find at home

Garden room - the kitchen opens into the sun room which acts as the dining area as well as an additional sitting room with a corner leather sofa and flat screened T.V and DVD.

This is a most relaxing area with views over the garden and communal woodland. Green oak beams, slate floor and partially glazed roof looking straight up to the tree tops. There is a night storage heater and wood burning stove.

Shower room - this has been recently retiled and benefits from a new electric shower.

First Floor Main Bedroom This room has exposed beams and views over the courtyard. There is a double bed and all bed linen is supplied as part of the price. There is an electric heater.

The Second Bedroom - has a single/small double guest bed and a single bed, so can sleep up to three. This room also has exposed beams and views over the courtyard, but also has a rear window overlooking the garden. There is an electric heater. A travel cot can fit into either room on request.

Wood for the burner and electricity are included in the price.

About the Area

Coverack itself is the archetypal Cornish fishing village with its harbour and expanse of golden sand at low tide.

There's plenty to do on the beach from watersports to rock pooling to an old fashioned family game of cricket.

At high tide crab fishing off the harbour wall or simply watching the fishing boats and pleasure craft come in and out can provide plenty of entertainment!

Kynance Cove near the Lizard Point was hailed by the Sunday Times (Travel Section 3/8/08) as probably the best beach in the world!

The area has many other beaches and coves such as Cadgwith, Gunwalloe, Mullion, Poldhu, St. Anthony to mention just a few.

The beaches of Penwith and the North Coast are only a short drive away too.
