About the Area
Coverack itself is the archetypal Cornish fishing village
with its harbour and expanse of golden sand at low tide. There's plenty
to do on the beach from watersports to rock pooling to an old fashioned
family game of cricket. At high tide crab fishing off the harbour wall
or simply watching the fishing boats and pleasure craft come in and out
can provide plenty of entertainment!
Kynance Cove near the Lizard Point has recently been hailed
by the Sunday Times (Travel Section 3/8/08) as probably the best beach
in the world!
The area has many other beaches and coves
such as Cadgwith, Gunwalloe, Mullion, Poldhu, St. Anthony to mention just
a few. The beaches of Penwith and the North Coast are only a short drive
away too.
