Welcome to Mousehole Holiday Cottages, offering a selection of attractive traditional granite cottages situated in the picturesque conservation village of Mousehole, Cornwall.

The Cottages

The cottages are between 120 and 240 years old, fully modernised, very well equipped, tastefully decorated and retains features such as original fireplaces, exposed beams, granite walls etc. and is available throughout the year for summer or winter holidays or short breaks.

Each cottage has a fitted kitchen with electric cooker, refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, iron/ironing board, cafetere etc. a comprehensive range of equipment and utensils, crockery, and cutlery. All lounges have colour T.V. comfortable suite etc. The bedrooms are pretty with co-ordinating bedding and accessories and there is a shower room with electric shower, toilet and basin. There is storage heating in each cottage, together with electric fires and oil filled radiators.

Beds have duvets and pillows and can be made up ready for your arrival. Towels and tea towels can be provided if required.

Items of baby equipment such as cot (we do not supply cot bedding), high chair or baby bath can be provided if requested.

Each cottage has a folder containing comprehensive brochures and leaflets on Mousehole, and the surrounding area. If you do not feel like walking the coastal footpaths or visiting local attractions such as the Eden Project (less than 1 hours drive away) or the unique Minack Open Air Theatre, there is a supply of books and games provided.

Location

Mousehole is a picturesque village clustered around a harbour and is a maze of granite and slate houses and cottages, narrow winding streets and cobbled alleyways. Within the harbour are two small sandy beaches. The village also has two larger pebble beaches with rocks and rock-pools.
Mousehole has several small shops including a newsagents, grocers and post office. It also has a fine selection of craft and gift shops and a small art gallery. There is a choice of tearooms, restaurants and a fish and chip shop and two pubs. There is also a chapel and the famous hospital for wild birds.
A regular bus service runs from Mousehole to Newlyn and Penzance where there is a main line rail and coach link.

Availability

Each cottage is available for holidays throughout the year. Whole weeks only are available between Easter and the end of September. Between October and Easter the cottages are also available for long weekends or mid-week breaks except for the Christmas/New Year period.

 

Bay View

Bay View is an imposing house on the harbourside in Mousehole, just a few feet away from the water's edge. There are stunning views from the tastefully decorated kitchen, lounge and each of the three bedrooms across the harbour and Mount's Bay towards St Michael's Mount and the Lizard Peninsular.

Lantern Cottage

Lantern Cottage is a very pretty granite cottage approximately 30 metres from the beach. The cottage retains many period features such as beamed ceilings, exposed granite walls and a very small original cast iron fireplace in the main bedroom.
Availability - Saturday - Saturday.
Sleeps - Two adults and two children plus a cot.

Gurnick Cottage

Situated next door but one from Lantern Cottage this attractively furnished cottage has beamed ceilings and exposed granite walls etc.

Brookland Cottage

Situated approximately 130 metres from the harbour this recently converted cottage has retained many of its original features such as fireplaces,exposed granite walls etc. and has been attractively furnished and decorated. There are lovely views across the village to Mounts Bay and the sea from the main bedroom.

Treen Lane Cottage

Situated in a quiet traffic free lane, this lovely one bedroom cottage is the ideal retreat for a couple wanting to escape! Retaining original beams, fireplace etc. the cottage is furnished and equipped to a high standard. There is a small secluded patio with cast iron table and chairs and there are lovely sea views to St Clements Isle, Mounts Bay and the Lizard Peninsular from the bedroom.
