Set
in the heart of Mullion Village, The Mounts Bay Guest House offers a warm
and friendly welcome. Whether you have had a good days walk along the
cliff tops or the south west coast path, whether you have had a day in
the village or surrounding area, relax in our
non smoking guest rooms all with en suites, colour TV and DVD,
tea and coffee making facilities with a mini fridge for fresh milk.
Our rear facing rooms have wonderful sea
views to sit and watch the sun go down over the cliffs on the far
side of the bay of Newlyn, Mousehole & Gwennap Head. We are able to
offer a family room with a double and single bed in with a sea view, also
a double or twin room with sea views.
Our front facing rooms look over the village
and have the same standard of furnishing and fittings; we are able to
offer a twin bedded or a double in these rooms. We have hair dryers in
all rooms and can provide ironing facilities on request.
Walkers use
us as your start and finish point to do 3 legs of the South West Coast
Path without carrying your kit every day, we will pick you up and bring
you back to our Guest House and take you the next day to where you left
off.
Our guests have a private door into the family
run 1900's free house below, which has a generous supply of local real
ales and fine wines. It has been tastefully modernised to make a large
and welcoming pub with a sun terrace (heated for those chilly summer evenings!)
a garden and sea views. It also boasts a large restaurant area with a
delicious menu for lunchtimes and evening meals.
Once a fortnight there is live music on either
a friday or saturday evening. There is a pool table, dartboard and often
a hand or two of cards going on.
If you are visiting family or friends why
not invite them to join you for breakfast.
We are only about a mile from the historic
fishing Harbour of Mullion Cove with its high Harbour walls and
steep cliffs which carry the south west coast path.
If you want to leave your car at home we are
able to pick you up from the airport, bus or train stations as we are
the local taxi service and offer guests reduced rates.
The village also offers other restaurants
including an Italian style which can also offer freshly made pizza to
takeaway, fish and chips, local pharmacy, convenience stores, hairdressers,
doctors and a variety of local crafts. There is also horse riding and
cycle hire available. We really are quite a self contained village with
a friendly atmosphere.
We are sorry
but we are unable to accept pets.
Plenty to see, Convenient for:
- National Seal Centre
- Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station
- Flambards Theme Park + Victorian Village
- Many more local attractions.
- The Eden Project - Lands End - The Lost Gardens Heligan only about
an hour away.
