Hotel Accommodation
in Marazion
'One of the World's Top 20 Hotels on
a Budget - Sunday Times
It's hard to imagine a more memorable place
to stay in Cornwall than the Mount Haven. To begin with, the views of
the bay and the magical Saint Michael's Mount are simply stunning (The
BBC even filmed 'Best Views in Britain' from the hotel grounds).
What's more, being so close to the Gulf Stream means that guests can enjoy
the gardens and the views from the sun terrace from February, all the
way through to November. Then of course, there's the hotel itself.
The Mount Haven is a boutique gem that combines
modern chic with Eastern Flair. The rooms are sumptuously furnished with
silks, brocades and treasures from India and the Far East.
It's a world away from the hustle and bustle
of modern living. And for those who wish to take their relaxation to an
even higher level, there's a range of revitalising therapies available,
such as: aromatherapy, reiki, reflexology, hot stone therapy, deep
tissue massage. You can even have your chakras balanced! And so you
don't have to feel guilty about pampering yourself, all the profits
go to an orphanage in India for street kids and medical camps into tribal
villages.
The Mount Haven's crowning glory is it's fabulous
restaurant. It has two AA rosettes for fine dining and James Morris,
Head Chef, is passionate about the local produce. The fish is straight
out of the bay in front of the hotel, the vegetables and meat from farms
within 10 miles And they've all been inspected for animal welfare and
standards. His creativity and enthusiasm for food is inspiring, as are
his dishes.
If you have never visited West Cornwall before
you will find this magical unspoilt part of the world so beautiful your
breath will be taken away. The walks along the coast line over the cliffs
towards Land's End make you feel you're in another country - the colours,
the landscape, the wildness and the beauty will captivate your heart and
make you want to return over and over again. There is a peace to be gained
here in the natural beauty that will calm the most troubled minds and
send you home feeling restored, refreshed and ready to face the real world
again. The tropical gardens down here are an especial delight with species
growing here that you would never expect to find in the British Isles.
The Gulf Stream makes it sub-tropical. You can take a day out to visit
the Scilly Isles or take a picnic to the Minack one night and watch a
production of a play or musical on amphi-theatre built into cliffs. With
the dolphins and basking sharks in the background you will be transported
into another world.
All in all,
the Mount Haven is the must experience destination in Cornwall.
