Crackington Haven Holiday Cottages

The Mineshop Cottages in Crackington Haven- an unspoilt and un-commercialised area, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coastal footpath between Widemouth Bay and Boscastle is one of the most spectacular stretches in Cornwall.

Leading out to the coast are deep, wooded valleys, most of which are accessible by public footpaths. At Widemouth Bay there is a splendid expanse of sandy beach; Millook has a quiet stretch of rock-bound pebbled shore abounding with prawning pools and lobster hides; and the beach at Crackington Haven is of sand, pebbles and rock pools, with dramatic National Trust coastline to the north and south.

The quaint village of Boscastle with its natural harbour, and Tintagel with its castle and legends of King Arthur, are a short drive away down the coast. Nearby are facilities for pony trekking, angling, surfing, wind surfing, golf and, of course, walking along the lanes and sheltered, leafy valleys and on the coastal footpath.

Nearby pubs serve dinner, basket meals and cream teas. There are tennis courts at Crackington Haven, and a newly-built local cinema within a few miles.

The Mineshop Cottages are in the parish of St. Gennys just a short drive to the beach at Crackington, St. Gennys Parish lies on the dramatic and spectacular stretch of coast between Bude and Boscastle, an area designated as of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and within the Heritage Coastal Belt.

From Mineshop a footpath leads through the wooded valley to Crackington Haven, one mile away (one and a half miles by road). Here there is a sandy bathing and surfing beach, with rock pools, where mussels, limpet and cowrie shells may be discovered and prawns hide in the seaweed fringes.

We are proud to be inspected and featured in 'The GOOD HOLIDAY COTTAGE GUIDE'

Rostowan

Rostowan is located in a unique tranquil location, near to St.Mawes on the Southern Coast of Cornwall, in an area where ITV filmed the Caroline Quinten 'Cornwall' a main part feature being, The Hidden Hut...Due to this Property's remote, extremely private location, it is approached from a rough track so if you have a Ferrari or low slung sports car then this is not for you, a family saloon or estate offers no problem's.

Rostowan is located on the stunning Roseland Peninsula on Cornwall's south coast, which enjoys spectacular sea and rivers walks and views, woodlands and fields, winding lanes, ancient buildings and churches, much of it under the careful ownership of the National Trust.

At the very narrowest point of the peninsula, where Porth Creek and the sea almost cut it in half, Rostowan Villa nestles in a peaceful location with the creek just a stones throw away on one side, and the sea within ear shot on the other. Towan beach itself is just a short stroll down the lane and even in the height of summer is usually very quiet. This Beach is Dog friendly all year round.

The stunning harbour village of Portscatho is within walking distance, which is perfect for enjoying a bite to eat and a drink, or trying your hand at catching crabs off of the harbour wall.

St. Mawes is a larger town and can be accessed by car, or by walking around the creek to Place Manor where it is possible to catch the foot passenger ferry. From St. Mawes it is possible to catch a number of different ferries to places such as Falmouth and Truro (the capital of Cornwall).
