Lower Cot Mill sleeps 6 to 8 (max) |
Lower Cot Mill is a three bedroom 17th Century corn mill with many original features. The property is set in a small, rural hamlet at the end of a single track cul-de-sac in a wooded valley. It has secluded, enclosed gardens on several levels with the original leats, exotic plants and areas for al fresco dining and barbeques.
At the bottom of the garden is a stream with an area ideal for solitude and contemplation. The mill also has a purpose built artist's studio available for use.
The property has beamed ceilings, wooden floors, wrought-iron spiral staircase, a wood burning stove and also has a large conservatory. There is a bunk bed available on request which will be located in the third double room (suitable as a children's bed room).
Double doors in the conservatory open out into the secluded garden with its various areas of grass, flower beds, Cornish Palm trees, pathways, terraces with garden furniture and stream. The terraced area by the stream is ideal for evening barbeques. The stream can be heard from inside the house on a quiet evening. A gate in the garden leads out onto a footpath that leads to St Just, fifteen minutes walk away.

The area around Cot Valley is full of interesting activities, places to visit and things to do.
From scenic flights around the peninsula, learning to surf, horse riding, walking, biking, learning yoga and swimming on the beautiful sandy beaches to visiting the Tate, St Ives and Barbara Hepworth Museum or the many subtropical gardens, there is always plenty to see and do.
