A light and airy ground floor apartment, refurbished in
a contemporary style, in a mid 19 century granite building. The sunny
dining room offers stunning sea views to the South-West. An excellent
base from which to sample all the Far West has to offer.
ACCOMMODATION
Enter Longships through a small porch and turn right and
your eyes will be immediately drawn through the spacious living room and
light filled dining room to the far reaching views across countryside
to Lands End, the sea and the distant Scilly Isles.
Retrace your steps through the living room to the hall.
Passing the roomy, well equipped bathroom on your right you then enter
the kitchen where your Welcome Pack awaits you. This Shaker style kitchen
is fully equipped with cooker, washing machine, microwave and full size
fridge and freezer.
The Shaker theme is continued into the bedroom where there
is a double antique style bed with a cosy king size duvet.
Externally the car parking space is adjacent
to the apartment. Beyond the dining room is a secluded small timber decked
seating area for sole use of Longships occupants. Additionally there is
a larger shared patio area with barbeque and clothes drying facilities.
THE LOCAL AREA
Sennen Churchtown is an ideal base to explore the Far West
and all it has to offer.
Close by are many beautiful sandy beaches for swimming,
surfing or just lazing on.
Walkers and birdwatchers are also rewarded with some of
the finest cliff, coastal and countryside walks in the country.
For those with more artistic tastes, St. Ives, Newlyn and
Penzance boast many leading galleries and artists including the world
renowned Tate St. Ives and Barbara Hepworth sculpture garden. Sennen even
has its own gallery at the Roundhouse in the cove.
Those interested in prehistory will find many ancient sites
in the area. For more recent history there are National Trust establishments
within easy reach including St. Michael's Mount and the restored Levant
tin mines. You may also want to visit the Zennor Museum, the Geevor Tin
Mines and the Porthcurno telegraph museum.
For a night at the theatre with a difference, consider
the Minack open air theatre in Porthcurno (and its museum).
