Landaviddy Manor & Primrose Cottage
Beautiful Manor House with extensive
gardens and views to the sea. Standing above the valley of Polperro and
surrounded by National Trust Land.
8 beds all with their own facilities.
The house is built of Cornish stone and is
beautifully situated on the hill to the west side of the ancient and picturesque
fishing port of Polperro with its restaurants and historical public houses.
The village is renowned for its quaint narrow lanes and whitewashed cottages
and still retains its olde world charm. The coastal walks in both directions
are breathtaking.
The Manor is set in peaceful grounds of 2 acres and commands
beautiful views to the sea and surrounding countryside. The gardens feature
an interesting and wide variety of shrubs, plants and trees which are
surrounded by National Trust Land. Outdoor seating and a barbeque are
provided. Visitors in summer 2006 will be able to take advantage of the
new summerhouse and hot tub.

ACCOMMODATION
Kitchen - The large traditional farmhouse kitchen with
its freestanding oak units and slate floor is superbly equipped with an
aga along with a conventional oven. Other kitchen utilities include microwave,
toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher, fridge etc. A wide range of cooking
utensils is also provided.
Utility Room At the back of the Manor, there is
a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. All linen/towels
are provided at no charge.
Lounge A large comfortable lounge superbly equipped
with a TV/Video recorder /digital TV/DVD & CD/tape machine, plus a
cosy large log fire for those cooler summer evenings, views over the garden.
Snug/bar room adjacent, ideal for socializing away from the children.
Furnished with bar benches and copper tables.
Dining room - Can easily seat all guests and has a grand
piano for those musically minded (the piano however is an antique straight
string and does not produce the sound quality of a modern instrument)
Has a log fire for cooler evenings and ambience.
Play/games room which contains a games table and a computer
with computer games which has proven most popular with our younger guests.
Cloakroom.
There are 6 double bedrooms and 2 twin rooms individually
furnished, many with antique furniture. All have an ensuite or own shower
room, plus televisions. One of the double rooms with ensuite is situated
on the ground level for easy access for the guest who finds stairs difficult.
A cot is always available and an additional travel cot can be provided.
Stroller/prams can also be provided on request for a small rental fee.
1st floor family bathroom - A lovely Victorian style bathroom
with roll top bath, elegantly decorated.

Primrose Cottage

A charming three-bedroom cottage with its own garden and
small woodland, surrounded by National Trust land with some sea views,
situated next to Landaviddy Manor.
Only ten minutes' walk from the sea and the harbour, yet
in a peaceful rural spot, this deceptively roomy cottage is ideal for
romantic breaks and family holidays.
The cottage is decorated throughout to a high standard
and is generously equipped. Oil central heating is provided for comfort
in off-season breaks.
The large beamed living area is comfortably furnished and
has a real fire for the cooler summer evenings. There is digital TV, DVD
and video, with a stereo system for music lovers.
The cottage has a charming fitted pine kitchen equipped
with electric cooker and hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, coffee maker
and dishwasher.
Three bedrooms: 2 double and 1 single, all decorated to
a high standard. Family bathroom with bath/shower.

LOCATION
The village of Polperro is renowned for its quaint narrow
lanes and whitewashed cottages and still retains its charm. The coastal
walks in both directions are breathtaking, and the South West Way coast
path is easily accessible from the property. Ideally located for many
famous attractions e.g. the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan,
and numerous places to visit such as Fowey, Mevagissey, Looe, Lansallos,
Truro and Liskeard. There is a wide selection of beaches, sports and adventure
parks and wildlife attractions to suit all ages and interests.
