The Tariff includes Gas and Electricity
The harbour has high granite walls and children must
be supervised. The garden steps are quite steep, so supervision
required here too, but there is a handrail. There is also a drop
from the lower patio where the garden room is, protected with a
railing, but again, children should be supervised.
Television reception is poor in the area: BBC 1,
BBC 2 and ITV have good reception, but Channel 4 is variable.
Please bring your own bed linen and towels, but if
that's difficult it can be provided at a cost of £7.50 per
person (includes kitchen towel, tea towels, bedding, bath towel
and hand towel each). We do not provide beach towels.

CHARLESTOWN HARBOUR
The working harbour is owned by Square Sail, who
specialise in providing square rigger ships for filming. When they are
in harbour thay are sometimes open for visiting. Occasionally, the harbour
is used as a film set. It is not possible to anticipate when this might
take place.
There are two pebbly beaches, one on each side of the harbour,
with rock pools to explore at low tide
There are three pubs/restaurants in Charlestown, the Rashleigh
arms, The Pier House Hotel with Harbourside pub, and the Bosun's diner. There
is also a post office selling newspapers, sweets, bread, milk etc., a
natural health centre, a pottery and a gallery.
There is a sandy beach at Porthpean, a 5 minute drive away.
