The Stables is a granite stone cottage in a secluded woodland valley setting. It is set back a little from the river and has its own private garden with cobbled paths and steps leading down to a mill leat. The cottage is not recommended for under fours.

Inside is a kitchen-diner with slate flagstones, handmade wooden kitchen units, dishwasher, and an unusual slate sink.There is an electric cooker, fridge freezer and walk in larder. The washing machine is in a separate building in the garden. Vehicles can be parked in the courtyard..

There is a good sized sitting room which overlooks the mill leat pond where a variety of plants and wildlife can be seen

Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, the main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has two single beds.

We provide bed linen, tea towels and hand towels please bring your own bath/ beach towels.

There is a DVD player , it will not receive television signals, please feel free to bring your own DVD's. We have a small selection of DVD's which can be borrowed free of charge."

The villages of Stithians and Ponsanooth are about 1 mile away, both have a shop, post office and pub. There are watersports facilities at the nearby Stithians reservoir. There is a well stocked organic farm shop in the nearby village of Four Lanes.

Organic welcome tray with home-made biscuits, also complimentary organic fruit bowl for visitors staying a week.

The Office Cottage is the former Estate Office for the Mills. An old iron safe, believed to be original is inset into the sitting room wall. Upstairs is a double bedroom with views towards the lake.

The office is just a few feet from the river. A door from the kitchen leads to a private garden there is a simple oak bench, a small lawn, mature holy tree and stepping stones down to the river.

The Office Cottage has a good sized sitting room, and a kitchen-diner with a wooden floor and handmade wooden kitchen units. There is an electric cooker, fridge with freezer compartment and a microwave. Also downstairs is a bathroom with bath and W.C.

We provide bed linen, tea towels and hand towels - please bring your own bath/ beach towels. There is a shared washing machine in a separate laundry room.
