Huefield Apartment is in a secluded location a minute's walk from the beach. Huefield House, including its swimming pool, is decorated in a modern style by its present owners

A one minute walk from the beach at Helford Passage on the North bank of the beautiful Helford River. The Helford River is one of the UK's most attractive locations and is on the Cornish Coastal path only 8 miles from the port of Falmouth.

The swimming pool is 12 metres long and is available from May to the end of September. It is heated and is normally kept in the range 24-28 degrees C. It is for the exclusive use of guests and the owners - inflatables are available to keep the young ones (and sometimes the not so young) amused.

One of the most beautiful settings in Cornwall, the sheltered Helford River, with its many creeks and small beaches, is a tranquil and peaceful area. It can be explored using the coastal footpath, small boats or sailing dinghies.

The hamlet of Helford Passage is an ideal base for holidays - used by families, walkers and visitors who wish to 'get away from it all' and explore this beautiful yet uncommercialised part of Cornwall.

Many return year after year. From April to the end of October, the Helford Ferry, part of the Cornish Coastal Path, takes you across the river to explore the village of Helford and further walks including Daphne du Maurier's 'Frenchman's Creek'. The famous Ferryboat Inn provides meals and refreshments throughout the day.

Local Area

Shops - Mawnan Smith (1½ miles) has a Spar Stores and Post Office, The Spar Stores at Constantine (3 miles) will deliver papers and on the day of arrival will deliver groceries. A large Asda is situated at Penryn (5 miles). Sarah's shop in the Passage supplies milk and bread as well as clothes and other quality souvenirs

Restaurants - As well as The Ferry Boat Inn at Helford Passage, there are a number of good pubs and restaurants within a short drive.

River Front - At the beach, from the kiosk, you can hire sailing and motorboats, or rent a mooring if you bring your own boat. This is also the starting point for the ferry to Helford Village and river trips including set down to the Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens.

Gardens - The renowned Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens are within walking distance of Helford Passage.

Falmouth - 6 miles/15 mins away and is the nearest general shopping centre. Other attractions include Pendennis Castle, the new Maritime Museum and river trips to several locations in the sheltered waters of Carrick Roads which forms the largest natural inland water harbour in Europe. Boats also run to St Mawes, Truro and to the National Trust Gardens at Trelissick.

Sightseeing - There is plenty to see and do in Cornwall to cover all tastes and interests: The Seal Sanctuary at Gweek; The Eden Project near St Austell; The Tate Gallery at St Ives; The Lizard Peninsula; Lands End; fishing villages; beaches.
