Howards Hotel is a family run, fully licensed, 23 bedroomed hotel with full central heating throughout.

The hotel is tastefully furnished and all bedrooms have ensuite facilities complete with colour television and tea/coffee tray.

Standing in pleasant gardens with extensive views, Howards Hotel is conveniently situated only a short distance from the golden sands of Carbis Bay beach and within easy reach of the old town of St. Ives.

Car parking is no problem, there is plenty of free parking in the hotel grounds. In an area of outstanding natural beauty Carbis Bay is the perfect spot for a truly happy and carefree holiday. As well as the beach at Carbis Bay, there are other safe, sandy beaches in and around St. Ives, such as the well known surfing beach at Porthmeor.

Together with the world famous Tate Gallery St. Ives own artists' wealth of arts and crafts can be seen amongst the cobbled streets of the town.

There are ample sporting and leisure pursuits in the whole area, including breathtaking cliff walks.

We are proud of our reputation for good food, comfort and service. At your table in our spacious dining room you will enjoy the best of English Fayre generously served. To compliment the good meal we offer a selection of wines and beers.

We are pleased to cater for any special diets by prior arrangement.

For your further enjoyment there is regular entertainment, please ask staff about forthcoming events. The outdoor heated Swimming Pool (open May to September) and Sun patio is an ideal place to relax to lap up the sun and enjoy a poolside drink, a tasty Bar Meal or even, perhaps a traditional Cornish Cream Tea.

The attractive Lounge Bar is well stocked with real ales, draught and bottled beers, wines and spirits and offers an opportunity to relax with family or friends over a welcoming aperitif before dinner as well as to enjoy a friendly drink during the evening. The pool table and darts provide further relaxation.

St. Ives and the surrounding area provides something for everyone. There are shops and art galleries galore among the narrow cobbled streets as well as the famous Tate Gallery, overlooking the surf on Porthmeor Beach. There are many sandy and safe beaches in the vicinity, an area of outstanding natural beauty and is home to a variety of bird life particularly on the Hayle estuary.

You can also see evidence of Cornwall's heritage at places such as Geevor and Levant Tin Mines. West Cornwall has a number of antiquity sites including the "Men a Tol" and the Merrymaidens, Lanyon Quoit as well as the many Celtic crosses. If you are looking for a more energetic holiday then there is everything from golf, with 2 golf courses close by, to fishing, sailing, and plenty of opportunity for walking; and it is all within easy reach of the Hotel!
