. . . you're closer to peace in
a garden than any place else on earth . . .
Hornacott is a traditional 18th century
Cornish house set in two acres of garden in the depths of the
Cornish countryside.
We provide Bed & Breakfast accommodation
in a suite that includes a comfortable sitting room and enjoys a private
entrance. An adjoining single room can be made available for a third person.
All is renovated to the highest standards. Breakfast is served in our
dining room.
We are ten minutes drive south of the A30 at
Launceston -- an ideal location for discovering the wonders of this beautiful
part of the world.
Hornacott is a traditional Cornish home, formerly
a farmhouse and built in the early 1700's. The house nestles into a hillside,
known locally as Hornacott Hill in the River Inny Valley that is in the
wider environs of the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty,
that forms the county boundary between Devon and Cornwall.
BED & BREAKFAST
GUEST SUITE
The guest suite with its own entrance, has
a bedroom and sitting room where French windows face west over the garden.
The bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with bath, shower, hand basin and
WC. An additional single room can be made available for a third person.
Food is purchased fresh from local suppliers
and we do our best to cater for special dietary requirements. An excellent
selection of pubs and restaurants in easy driving distance offers fine
regional food. We serve breakfast in our dining room.
We are well placed to visit Cornwall's famous
historic houses and gardens, the Eden Project, the dramatic coastline,
the Cornish villages, glorious walks, cycle routes, plentiful gardens
and nurseries, boat hire and river trips.
Whatever time of year you choose to visit,
whether during the busy summer season or in the crisp winter months, Hornacott
remains the same peaceful haven to return to after a day in the Cornish
countryside.
We look forward to welcoming you here.
