Enjoy the magnificent local surfing beaches of Constantine Bay, Treyarnon Bay and Booby's Bay. Many other beaches and secluded coves are within walking distance and there are beautiful coastal walks taking in the southwest coast path.
The Constantine Bay Stores, purveyors of excellent produce and fine wines is only 100 yards away. Next to the Bay Stores is the Constantine Bay Surf Store, well stocked with surf wear, wet suits and surf boards together with all the advice you will need for tackling the waves. Opposite the two stores is the bus stop where one can pick up a bus to travel to Padstow, Wadebridge, Newquay and further afield.
The Championship golf links of Trevose Golf and Country Club is also only a short walk away.
Dining out is possible locally at the Trevose Golf Club, the Treglos Hotel and the Youth Hostel café at Treyarnon Bay.
St. Merryn village (just 1.5miles away) has
two pubs the Cornish Arms, run by Rick Stein (opposite the St Merryn
Church) then the Farmers Arms and the Dog House wine bar (near the crossroads).
The village currently has an excellent restaurant, The Olive Tree as
well as three takeaways - Thai, Chinese and Fish & Chips. Also there
is a grocery shop and well stocked bakery.
Approximately 3.5 miles away is the lovely historic port of Padstow, on the banks of the Camel estuary. Padstow is the home of the acclaimed Rick Stein's, Seafood Restaurant as well as many more eating places and tasteful shops.
Padstow is a traditional holiday town, with fishing and pleasure boat trips, the Elizabethan manor house, Prideaux Place, a pitch 'n' putt golf and the National Lobster Hatchery.
Also at Padstow is the start/end of the famous Camel Cycle Trail and bicycles may be hired on the quayside. The Camel Trail, is a disused railway line which runs through Wadebridge to Bodmin and beyond. Cycling along the beautiful Camel estuary is a favourite for bird watchers. From Padstow, you can take a short ferry ride across the estuary to Rock village. For supermarket shopping there is Tescos just at the top of the hill outside Padstow.
Cornwall has so many places of interest to visit, too many to list here, but we must not forget the world famous Eden Project (approximately 15 miles away) a must visit!
Flying direct to Newquay Airport is becoming another popular choice of getting here, we are approximately 6 miles from the airport and one of us should be free to pick you up.
