The Helston Flora dance is another well-known local event, there are numerous events that take place through the year.

Highcliffe, a new, architecturally-designed complex, is set to take holiday homes into the 21st Century. With its combination of good design, modern interiors and one of the most spectacular coastal sights in north Cornwall. Highcliffe is the ideal place for a stress-free family holiday.

Highcliffe has 24, purpose-built holiday homes with rural views amongst four acres of communal grounds, which include wild flower areas and more formal planted beds. There are also two tennis courts and a dinghy park for boats and trailers.

Highcliffe - loungeThe homes, which are nominated for a top architectural award, have been given a light and fresh Mediterranean feel with wooden and tiled floors and modern furniture. And because they are purpose -built they have all the necessary high-tech appliances needed to make a holiday hassle-free. The homes are centrally heated, have open fires and wood-burners and sleep up to 7, with an extra box room for a baby's cot. Each has a wet/laundry room for wetsuits and water sports equipment along with a handy outside shower for surfers.

Cornwall's mild temperatures in the Spring, Autumn and Winter is one reason that visitors who enjoy water sports including surfing come to Trebetherick. The stunning scenery along the coastal path and winding lanes assumes a jacket of floral colour in the spring and autumn, the area has a charm and relaxing feel that should be experienced and there is no better time for a getaway break. The roads are relatively traffic free during school term time, it is only 4hours from London and the Midlands and only 2 hours from Bristol, ideal for an impromptu break.
