In the heart of Cornwall's richest mining district there is a rare opportunity to see two fine Cornish beam engines preserved in their imposing houses. The engines exemplify the use of high pressure steam patented by the Cornish engineer Richard Trevithick in 1802. New for 1998 - The Cornish Industrial Heritage Centre.
