Now famous for the television series Doc Martin and the traditional sea shanties of the Fishermans Friends, Port Isaac has been welcoming visitors for more than 100yrs, but unlike many villages in Cornwall, it retains its traditional character and remains unspoilt.
It is a cluster of pretty white washed cottages huddled around a picturesque harbour, which is the heart of a thriving fishing community. Its steep hills and narrow streets are flanked by majestic cliffs towering above the Atlantic.
Port Isaac has numerous cafes and restaurants specialising in local seafood, shops for all essentials, a pub and a wide selection of local arts and crafts.
