Goosebean is a beautifully restored 18th century character cottage in the heart of of St. Columb Major. Located 5 miles inland and within easy reach of the best surfing beaches in Cornwall, St. Columb Major is a small rural town surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Ideally located between Padstow, Wadebridge and Newquay there are plenty of activities available for all the family.

The cottage has recently been thoughtfully refurbished and offers perfect accommodation for those seeking a great holiday in Cornwall.

LOCATION

St. Columb Major is a small traditional Cornish town located about 5 miles from the coast. The town is surrounded by beautiful countryside ideal for walking and cycling.

The town itself retains a community feel, unspoilt by tourism. A variety of traditional shops and pubs are available all within a short walk of each other. There is also a park with a playing field and playground for younger children.

St. Columb Major lies equidistant (approx. 7 miles) between the popular towns of Wadebridge and Newquay. Wadebridge lies on the Camel Estuary and boasts a variety of shops, restaurants, art galleries and cinema. Here you will also find cycle hire shops and access to the Camel trail lying between Padstow and Bodmin goal.

Newquay offers a lively and buzzing experience for teenagers seeking night life and great surf wear shops. Here, you will also find Newquay Zoo and Hendra swimming complex.

The beautiful sandy beach at Morgan Porth is approximately 5 miles from St. Columb. Further along the coast road towards Padstow you'll find picturesque sandy beaches at Porthcothan, Treyarnon, Constantine, Harlyn, and Trevone. Padstow Harbour and town is approximately 25 minutes drive and boosts a wealth of charm and character as well as great seafood restaurants and shops.
