GLENFINART
This Grade II listed, stone-built, detached Victorian
house, dating from 1887, has been sympathetically renovated throughout.
Situated in the heart of the pretty Cornish village of Boscastle,
in a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, much of the
surrounding countryside and coastline, including Boscastle's Elizabethan
harbour, is owned and managed by The National Trust.
ACCOMMODATION
- The kitchen and laundry, with slate flagged floors,
are fully equipped with a breakfast table, range cooker, dishwasher,
fridge/freezer, microwave, CD player, washing machine and tumble
drier.
- The dining room has a lovely Georgian painted
pine dresser and Victorian fireplace.
- There are four well-appointed double bedrooms
(three bedrooms with double beds and one bedroom with twin beds)
and two bathrooms, one with a roll-top bath and one with a shower.
- The slate flagged garden terrace is the perfect
place to sit and enjoy breathtaking views of the Jordan Valley.Cornish
goodies
- Welcome pack on arrival
A short stroll down through the garden leads directly
into the village with its famous National Trust harbour, cafes,
restaurants, pubs, gift shops, newsagent, bakery and grocery store.
Just along New Road, is a private car park for two vehicles, solely
for the use of Glenfinart residents; this is a real advantage, particularly
in the summer months when roadside parking in Boscastle is restricted.
The house is accessed by a flight of steps and we regret that it
has no wheelchair access.
Please note:
No smoking and sorry - no pets.
BOSCASTLE
Boscastle is steeped in history, and set around a
protected harbour. There are many fine Inns and restaurants to be
found within the village and its immediate surrounds.
During spring and early summer the area is ablaze
with colour from the abundant display of wild flowers.
For those who wish to explore a little, the many
sandy beaches nearby include Polzeath, Daymer Bay, Trebarwith, Widemouth
Bay and Crackington Haven. Tintagel Castle, several National Trust
houses and gardens and The Eden Project are all within easy reach.
